to be honest, I think its more a case of bitter fanboys whining because they cant face the fact that not everyone loves the same games they do

You shouldn't generalize like that, it isn't fair. i happen to know for a fact that not everybody likes mario games, no big deal.

but don't you find it worse that people diss things that other people love just for the hell of it? and ruin discussions that are ment to be for fun and enjoyment?

how would you like it if i kept someone you loved ugly or something? and kept saying that i hated them? should you just take it lying? i know i wouldn't like taht at all. i don't know about you... but i think it would be better to keep one's opinion to themselves if it's just going to be that negative.

@ bolded, yeah cause this thread is in no way about someone making a stupid generalisation and stating it as fact...

@ the rest, completley and utterly irrelevant to this thread/debate, the issue was over you and slimebeasts suggestion that people giving a game an 8/10 was them hating on it, which I think by now has been shown to be utter nonsense, no-one in this thread or the thread that inspired this continually insulted a game, they all in fact said it was good, the worst thing i saw said about the game was "its not great though" or something like that, please stop making up situations that have not taken place, the other thread was actually going fine and was for fun as you say, until that is, a user suggested people giving 8/10 were stupid fanboys and haters, obviously they and I defended ourselves as it was a pathetic baseless assertation.

check out mu last post before this.

and btw, i wasn't just talking about that thread. what about that 3 score for CoD4 and mario galaxy? and also, i mentioned that haters were being stealthy in that thread, a six or similar would have been too obvious...

why don't you read some peoples' replies in this thread? it happens in places like metacritic's and gamefly's user reviews where it's easy to post a zero, but here if you'd post something like that it'd be obvious and you'd get banned from the contest or something, and you can't do it by making an alt account because of the 100 post rule, so someone would have to post something not so obvious.

face it, it happens sometimes no doubt. there's no point denying it's what some people do, not all but some... why are you acting like it doesn't happen at all?
