You can't hold anything.  At least in the racing game they've been showing.  Since there's no buttons, you need to constantly move your hands farther apart and closer together.

Where have you seen a link that says its impossible to hold something in your hand with natal?  The only reason they haven't shown it with something is because they want to differentiate their system away from the Wii's and PS3's.  

 

And the part about moving your hands farther apart or closer together is total bull.  If you want to go faster you simply move your foot up or down.

Correct, the gas and brake were controlled by the feet.
