Jimmy Carter did a lot.  Jimmy Carter's "Carter Center" has funded numerous programs to eliminate disease and hunger in areas where such things could lead to violence.

He also was sent on many peace missions by both Bush and Clinton where he ended up achiveing some good outcomes.

Many of those were to bolster his appaerance and push propoganda. And Al gore?

While the sceince of the IPCC is EXTREMLY questionable the general hysterical fear of global warming has caused countries that would never talk to each other to talk to each other.
