I was going to say something similar. Video games don't make you fat, but if you are a lazy fat person there is a good chance you play video games.

it's a destructive cycle. You're fat and then start to play games- then the games keep you from exercising and moving which compounds the problem. Thus you get fatter as you play more, and you'll be playing more because you're fatter.
