I don't know why everybody has taken this as an attack on video gamers. If you read the article, the term used is "screen time". Now I'm assuming a majority of the overweight kids in this study are generally lazy (which is what usually makes you fat), and from my experiences these lazy people tend to spend a lot of time watching TV and browsing the internet. It isn't much of a stretch to assume that the non-gamers represent a majority of this sample anyway.

Also, this is another one of these articles that Health Canada is attempting to do, so they can do the Canadian thing: tell people they are bad parents in the nicest possible way.
