The Flopped Zeebo was built around this idea. It worked as a cellfone receiver that allowed you to download games anywere. The problem is the cost and bandwidth. Anyway, memory space is becoming cheaper and cheaper. My main issue with DD is the fact that they can alienate entire countries if they choose, like PSN did with Brazil, for example. I (until amazon started to sell psn products too) just couldn't enjoy the psn store because it wouldn't take my credict card. Some people found a way around it, but is too much work IMO.
But if is something like steam, I'm all for it, cause allows me too buy and play games I otherwise wouldn't. Just yesterday, I bougth "Mount and Blade" through Steam, but the game is not avaible in stores in Brazil.
