Meh. i know youre going to hate on it regardless, sure the PSP is flopping around, but the go certainly didnt plop out of the gate when compared to the Elite from MSFT, taking sales from 40k in america to only 60k, in terms of the introduction of new option SKU, it was extremely successful when discussed in an objective comparison with other past SKU's introductions (see Elite, previous PS3 Sku options). I highly doubt the bulk of the increased 300% sales came from 3000 users, but if we get split data we can know for sure.
The PSP 3000 standalone appears to have upgraded sales in the states according to VGchatz by about 150k, which is hard to track since it was the week before xmas, so take the info as you will in terms of new SKU bumps.
