if this isn't a flop I don't know what is. Seriously What if the ps3 slim only increased sales 30k? You would call it a flop in a heartbeat. Another thing to consider is this is almost like a brand new handheld because it is not backwards compatible. The adoption rate needs to be higher then a mere 30k. When you look at marketing, manufacturing, R&d, distribution, other costs associated with developing a handheld I bet you sony is kicking themselves straight in the nuts. Thats an honest truth.
