Each to their own. Personally I just can't be bothered chasing getting three particular kills or whatever. Trophies, Achievements, etc. for me should flow right out of the game, finishing levels at different difficulties, etc.
The only game I ever got 100% on was Fallout 3 and that was because I didn't have to actually chase anything.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
