It's a sim racer but when you remove all elements of tuning ability from the game then it may as well just be a arcade racer in a demo. This is really not a hard concept to understand, the physics engine is full simulation, the format more arcade based in the demo. For the record Forza 2 had a spcific arcade mode alongside the career too.
