Car of the Day 10.6.
Primetime Racing was founded in 2007 by owner/driver Joel Feinberg. The team runs the only GT2-class spec’d Dodge Viper Competition Coupe in the American Le Mans Series.
The 2008 campaign was the team's first full season of racing and the Viper’s best result was a fifth place finish in the GT2 class at the season opening 12 Hours of Sebring. Overall, Primetime finished in eighth place in the GT2 team standings.
The Viper Competition Coupe is a snake on a diet with items such as the interior body panels, carpet, instrumentation, air conditioning and stereo systems deleted. All tallied these efforts lighten the car by 380 pounds. The Competition Coupe comes equipped from Dodge Motorsports with a full roll cage, a racing fuel cell and other racing-related equipment. It is not sold through dealers and is purchased from Dodge directly as, essentially, a very expensive race car component. The car’s cost about $140,000 then teams need to prep the car for whatever series they race in be it AMLS, Speed World Challenge or the regulations of some other sanctioning body.
FM3 gamers can tame the serpent’s 8.3 liters of V10 fury on ALMS tracks like Sebring, Road America, Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca. With 520 horses under the hood and a ton of mechanical grip under the tires this American Le Mans GT2 racer with its R3-714 rating is a no-compromise drive that will challenge your throttle control skills and overall driving ability.
