To the people saying Killzone was average while Uncharted is not, Killzone is by far the more marketable IP.  However, Uncharted 2 looks to be the more marketable GAME.  Simply because it's a better game.  But when it comes to adverts, the Helghast turn heads much better than your "everyman" Nathan Drake.  In that regard Killzone is most definitely not average.  (Now whether they could've made better use of the Helghast in TV ads, that's another topic for another day.)

I think that's a serious issue the first Uncharted faced.  It wasn't very marketable, and they didn't even market it well for what they had.  The cover is just a random guy with a shotgun in the jungle.  That and the CGI ads certainly didn't do much to help sell the game.  What helped sell the game was the excellent word of mouth.

With Sony's "it's like a movie!" take on the sequel, and reviewers often comparing it to Raiders of the Lost Ark, hopefully Uncharted 2 will be a bigger success, riding of fthe Indiana Jones feel Sony's trying to convey.
