OT: I think people are overestimating the effect this will have on hardware sales. Come on, it's four years into the generation! How many people are going to buy a console because it has a fancy camera?
The technology looks very impressive, and it would be great if they can get to the artist's render, but this is no Wii-killer, it's not something that will revolutionise gaming, it's just a handy accessory which would work well with certain games and improve the experience, maybe give some variety. Thinking anything else will just lead you into disappointment. |
I usually don't agree with anything you say, but this is a good statement.

Wii Fit, which is a glorified scale, has sold over 22 million. If Natal, which is MUCH MORE than a glorified scale, sells that much just by itself, would it be considered a success?
For the record, if anybody says anything except 'yes' to that question, then they need some serious help. I mean serious, professional help.
