But not every third-party game advertised as exclusive is going to get ported. Are you going to avoid XIII Versus too because it's possible there would be a 360 port? (Square-Enix aren't above doing that. They love money too much. National ties means nothing to Square-Enix. How True, but again it goes both ways, See Star Ocean: The Last Hope for that fact, i personally could see Vesperia coming over, but not SO4, atleast not as soon as it did. so what your saying here makes no sense really because i'll say it again IT GOES BOTH WAYS, as for Versus XIII i really don't care. They are a multi-national corporation. They are above nationalities.) There is no guarantee that Magna Carta II will see a PS3 port. The Last Remnant was supposed to go to PS3 and that port was cancelled. Honestly, i don't know what happend to the LR, and again i don't care because i also have a 360 and i've tried it and its crap, but the point is unlike SO4, ToV, Enchanted Arms, ES, to name a few, they were ALL annouced Xbox 360 exclusive OR (as traditiol for the japanse now an days.) "For Xbox 360" never saying it was exclusive or not, and to be frank the "ONLY ON XBOX 360" Tag is rather pointless and made of lies unless the IP is owned by MS like how infinite undiscovery is, otherwise never say never, and this goes for Magna Carta II aswell. If you were to simply avoid every third-party game advertised as exclusive, you'd be stuck with just playing first-parties and multiplats and you'd miss out on the third-party exclusives that stay exclusive. True, but the only game i can think of that fits that atm is MGS4, other then that... BioShock even left the 360 as an exclusive franchise for gos sakes and the dev team behind that game is HUGE... and even if MC II doesn't go PS3 in lets guess "VI Months or So..." packed with more content and all that sort of thing, then i will simply buy it then, as a matter of fact, its a Win-Win on my part. If it doesn't go fine by me i can just get it cheaper for my 360 later, if it does get ported, also fine and dandy because now i know which platform to buy it on. On the flip side though, if you do decide to wait it out and MC2 stays exclusive, you can get your hands on this game for a cheap price. So it's up to you. Exactly, glad we agree on this bit, i mean its not like its going to be a FFXIII or something, its worth the wait. Just keep in mind that ToV was out since Aug 2008 in NA and there's still no PS3 NA announcement (Namco pulled this kind of stunt with ToS. No english PS2 port). So be prepared to wait it out a long, long time (all for the POSSIBILITY that there may be a port. No guarantees). This is also no issue, unlike the Xbox 360, the PS3 is REGION FREE, so i can import it anytime i want to. |
And with that, in conclusion this is the beauty of owning both HD consoles, you can chose carfully with out much backlash.
