because Turn10 saying any aspect of their game is better than what gran turismo 5 will be is like Insomniac going on record saying their game is better than Halo 3. It's just rediculous.
Turn 10 have been spouting shit for a long time about their game and its without merit. Interiors? Yeah, right. Anyone whos even looked at the two games side by side knows the car design and care in gran turismo 5 is a generational leap ahead of what forza 3 is doing, but they keep spouting this nonsense about having the more detailed cars. Seriously, EVERY single piece of the interior of the cars in GT5 not only is fully dynamically shadowed, it all reflects environments and shows shadows. not only that, it is as close to real life as any game will be this generation. there is very little difference between the inside of the cars in GT5 and the real life car in my parking lot. Mind you my Evolution 9 is very popular and they better get it right, the cockpits in Forza 3 are laughable at best when compared to GT5, however ONLY with the fact that they are saying its better.

He's saying they beat them on cars. Gran Turismo PSP offers more in this respect. GT5 will ship with 1200+ cars. three times more than Forza 3. Each car will have significantly better modeling than the cars in Forza 3. Each car will drive more realistically than forza 3. If what PD says about damage is true, the damage will be better than forza 3. "Fully built cars"? Is he trying to say that GT's cars are not "fully built"? because they are. and they have been for over 10 years now. What features? He doesn't mention any. He doesn't know what Gran Turismo is going to have. What does forza 3 have? Livery editor? GT5 will have it. Damage? GT5 will have it. Cars? GT5 beats it. What features is he talking about?
This is nothing but damage control. He should not be so cocky. These are the same developers that went out saying "Forza 3 is the definitive racing game"
I actually love the forza games, they're fantastic. and PD is pathetic for taking so long to put their games out, but the matter of point here is that PD would never make a comment like this, and neither would any other respectable developer.
The correct response from him would of been. "I've seen what they have shown so far, but not much is known about the game yet. All I can say is that we offer as much content as we can for our fans and I think they will be very satisfied".
