Kinda hard to use that "not a new platform launch" idea, when the PS3 Slim wasn't a new platform either. The PSP Go is a completely re-design platform, and it cost quite a bit of mullah to get launched...considering the current state of Sony's finances, they need these things to move...PSP and PS2 have been covering for the lags in PS3 financial performance. |
Its so vastly different.
The slim doesnt cost more than the phat. the phat is being discontinued. The slim IS the PS3, whereas the PSPGo is a product that has completely different functions.
Look, the PSPGo is not a redesign, its a NEW design. Its just a new option for people interested in portable gaming. If it were being branded as the new PSP the 300 would be discontinued and no more UMD games would be coming out.
