nah, i don't think so...
if its a WRPG then only Bethesda can do it.

There is so much wrong with what you are saying. BioWare is the king of WRPGs, with Bethesda being the only people to threaten that position

Honestly, I believe it's true, but there isn't really anything to say until it's released. Although I doubt FF13 will touch it. Sure, FF13 is going to be a great JRPG, but a big BioWare game beats the living crap out of all other RPGs

Both of you are mistaken - Black Isle Studios/Obsidian Entertainment is the king of WRPGs, with BioWare the secondary holder of the crown. Bethesda could only be in consideration after they.

I don't know if this will set new standards. Depends on how it compares to the first one.

*Raises an eyebrow* I liked KOTOR II much more than it was given credit for, but I dunno if I'd go that far.

How much did you like the first two Fallouts? Or Planescape: Torment? Or the restored version of Sith Lords, I suppose.

There's a reason that Alpha Protocol is my most-anticipated RPG right now.

Actually, the only one I've played is the original Sith Lords, parts of which I really liked better than the first KOTOR, such as the way they handled the characters. I read somewhere, in that RPG thread in the Sony forum, that Alpha Protocol has over 120 hours of dialogue in it? Holy hell, that's a ton. It was on my radar earlier, but I'm going to have to take a closer look at it now. Has it been officially delayed or is that just rumored?

I'll probably get the new Fallout next year as well.
