It gets too much hate. While I'm not going to buy one (maybe yet) due to having 2 PSPs already and the price tag, and the PSN catalogue still lacking a lot of titles, I'm really liking the new features of the Go (yes, there are those, like Mr_Power pointed above).
In any case the huge majority of regular games are going to come out on UMD as well, and for those that don't, the old PSP can still use PSN. It's obviously not aimed at every PSP owner, and with the 3000 remaining on sale it's not like it's not leaving anyone a choice.
