Dude i was the biggest Killzone fan you can ever imagine. People call me a hypocrite. I denied that CoD and Halo existed on Feb. 27 2009. I loved the game sooo much. But then came patch 1. I hated the change. I did buy all the maps but for some reason Killzone's community was full of broke ass people who complained about 6 bucks. So i never had the chance to enjoy the maps because no one played them. Around June a decline in the community started but not huge. Around late July i began to see less and less rooms. I picked up CoD once again but this time on PS3 and for the first time played online. Gave up in 2 weeks. Then i unlocked alot of guns after giving it yet another try. Loved the game for giving me so much replay and constant action. Around August i started to post again on Killzone.com only to see constant threads about fanboys denying the decline and saying Killzone will be better than MW2 and it will live on forever. They made crap up saying GG will make a comeback with a patch despite all the other patches from before doing absolutely nothing good for the players. This is my story...Killzone is a fail. Worst gaming experience ever. 

Hate to sidestep here. But you just sound like a whiney little b***h. I have a feeling you gave up on the MP coz you got OWNED.

Fact of the matter is that this game has sold 1.9 million copies and is still selling 20,000 copies every week. I don't want to compare it with the highest selling FPS on consoles and declare that it was a failure, that would be retarded.

And I can't quite see how you feel there is not enough players online, everyrtime I login, I see plenty of pub matches and games going on. Never once did I just sit there and wait for people to show up. What do I care if there are 2000 or 60000 people playing as long as I always get active matches online?

As further proof, the VGC clan was online playing games against other clans till 3 AM EST on Saturday and Friday.

 

That's rough on my sleep schedule... While I didn't play as many matches as everybody else, I still ended up staying awake till like 2am, yet I can't stop myself from waking up at around 9am.... ugh...

I'm one of those people who wouldn't buy any of the maps. Not that I don't have any money (though nothing I want to spend on maps), but I think paying for maps is dumb when I also spend lots of time on my PC with games like Team Fortress 2 which has recieved a ton of free content since launch.

Lastly, the game has had some nice updates though I still HATE the damned shotgun and engineer turret spammers. I still remember when you had to practically let yourself stay out in the open for like 20-30 seconds before an airbot would be able to kill you. Anyway, sorry to hear that you let yourself get overhyped, but the game is still quite enjoyable.
