I don't get you guys sometimes.

At first, DD was the future, now it's not.
Targeting other customers was great, now it's not.

If SONY does it, it's wrong.

Personally, I don't think (or hope) that DD is the future. I like physical copies of my games, for many reasons...

Targeting other customers is always good, but targeting more customers is the idea. The removal of UMD makes them exclude most previous PSP owners, which is likely a mistake. The games being available only through download is also a concern.

I do think people are being a bit hard on the system, though (mainly attacking the high price point). Sony is obviously going for the multimedia device [that also plays games!] route on this machine, which seems odd considering their recent stance on the PS3 - putting more focus on the games. We'll see if it works for them.

If I had lots more money on me, I'd probably pick up the PSP Go. I like my handhelds small, and the PSP Go's design somehow appeals to me. It probably helps I need both a new media player and a PSP, and it looks like it could do nearly everything I'd want from something like an iPod touch. I'm way too price-conscious to do it when there's a far cheaper PSP out there, though.
