Why do you think there will be 3rd party digital stores? Are you insane? There will never be 3rd party digital stores on a CLOSED DISTRIBUTION NETWORK OWNED WHOLEY BY A COMPANY, to think that a company would give up a potential slice of their main revenue generator other than the ridiculously overpriced hardware is laughable...

Actually his opinion is not as false as you would think. We are going to more and more digital distribution, if it becomes the norm, there will be laws to force first party to let 3rd party also distribute.  Usually once something is a monopoly, governments will unite and vote law to have proper competition. An example would be when microsoft was force by law to stop using internet explorer as default internet browser. Governments hates monopoly, unless you live in a legaly messed up country.
