I was wrong for Chapter challenges, If you die you get to continue from the last checkpoint.( but it costs time and makes it hard to do a good score if too many deaths).
You do not need to clear path of the acolyte by the way.
Once you have beaten path of the warrior you can do acolyte chapter challenge 17 and when you beat it you will get the trophy for completing the game on Acolyte...
PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !
PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !
