You cant just remove the square and eliminate the 9/2. Actually is this:

!-0,5! = !0,5!

0,5 = 0,5

All you had to do was watch how thw 81/4 turned into 9/2. What do you thing happened?

But I still say 0.9999 is different than 1.

Know why?

Cause 0.999999 has no 1 in it.
