| Procrastinato said: I have trouble understanding the "I have so many UMDs, I can't afford to upgrade!" complaint. Like I said... the logic presented here... isn't logical. Is it just some fear of digital media, manifesting itself as this kind of illogical complaint? I can see being upset that UMD is going away... just like some folks are upset that HD-DVD is out of the picture. Lots of HD-DVD movies out there... and when the players are dead, they're useless. That fear is totally valid... but complaining about the new format, and using that fear as some sort of reasoning... isn't really. ...its just angry venting. |
So how much do PSPGo games cost? I assumed it was going to be less because it's digital but I can't actually find their prices. When I got to the playstation store page, it wants me to install something in order to actually see the price and I just don't want to do that.
So, the only thing I can really find is this which says they will be as much as retail games.
If that's the case, I'd love to see the auctions where you sell your used games for as much as a new retail game or more actually since you said you made money on rebuying your collection.
Also, you make it sound like owning things like original NES cartridges is a waste of time. You obviously aren't any kind of retro gamer but give it 10 years and you'll love playing with those old BluRay discs and UMD's (if you still have any).

And to answer your question about the DS-- it depends.
I have no interest what-so-ever in the DSi because it can't play my GBA games but that's because it's marketed as a DS. If they made a DS2, I wouldn't care if it couldn't play my DS games because it's not a DS, it's a DS2. I would obvious prefer it to be backwards compatible, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker if not.
