Don't give the slim credit for what the pricecut did. Seriosuly, if the slim was released and the price remained the same I doubt there would be such an enormous increase in sales. The only people who care enough about the slim to rush out and buy a PS3 slim would be hardcore Sony fans. Really needed to get that off my chest.

Anyway, most of those games aren't really hardware pushing stuff, save for Gran Turismo. As for the battle between PS3 and Wii in Japan, it's like 8.5 million to 3.5 million, Wii has already won. You could even say Wii has already won on a global scale if you're a betting man. Also, from what I know of Nintendo's strategy, I doubt they did their pricecut in response to the PS3 pricecut, Microsoft may have, but I doubt that too.

I feel better now. I'm not sure if you're intentionally goat-getting, but it bothers me either way.

In conclusion, get your head out of the clouds.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy
