These stories about PS3's sitting on shelves are fine and dandy but they fail to mention that they are sitting on shelves only in certain cities. According to Itrackr the PS3 right now has 36% national availability. It makes more sense for some about this PS3 not selling nonsense but for me and many of my friends this has been a lie because the PS3 doesn't stay on shelves for very long down here in south florida.
Or it could just Sony undershipping after retailers refuse to order more of them. iTracker also says Wii availability at 3%. Of course, it could just be Nintendo undershipping as well, so we'll see the actual NPD numbers this Thursday and compare the announced shipped units of all three companies.
