Sorry Grimes, as I said, I've actually made money by selling off my old UMDs on eBay, and repurchasing those games from the PSN store.
As a collector, the last thing I want to own is a physical media disc which can get scratched, and which goes in a drive -- the far most likely component to break on almost any console. I can burn backups on DVD or BD, if I think the internet is gonna explode, or I don't want to buy extra mem sticks.
Mostly the games from the store are pretty cheap. You can cherry pick some (mostly still available at retail) that are spendy, or that you can find on clearance on UMD, but for the most part... cheap.
What's your beef with the Go, anyway? This is like your 10-zillionth anti-PSP Go post. Do you work at a UMD manufacturing plant or something? Do you work for MS, and are upset that people aren't flocking to the Zune HD as their digital gaming platform of choice?
