This is America. You are innocent till proven guilty. Michael Jackson was announced innocent, Therefore he is innocent. Get over it

He definitely didn't deserve to be presumed a pedophile, but I don't know that I would go so far as to say he was for sure 100% innocent.

And as someone who never really liked the guy and only really liked a few of his songs, I'm far from just a fan throwing blind support for the guy.

Being labeled a pedophile can ruin someone's life and you really need to be damn sure before you go tossing the label around.  There was never any hard evidence in Jackson's case but Polanski flat out admits to it.  So they are different cases entirely and honestly bringing up the Jackson case just dilutes the discussion and detracts from it rather than actually making a point like you were trying to do.

You're much better off just making your case about Polanski directly imho.
