They have good reasons for putting it down. Play CoD1 (or even better, the UO expansion) and you'll see what they mean. Maps were larger, all weapons had MUCH more recoil, and it took more than 1-2 shots to drop a player. Controlling a weapon as you shoot it actually used to be a challenge. It's not like CoD4/5 where you can get tons of bs kills just by spraying in your enemey's general direction (since all autos got buffed). Best of all, Maryrdom didn't exist in CoD1. The series went casual with CoD2. I still remember all the angry folk on the IW forums after it was released.....mass complaints about how many "assist" features were added to the game. If I remember right, I read somewhere that MW2 would be slightly more casual than MW1. Still though, CoD4/5 are really fun and I'm getting MW2, I just miss some things about the original =/ |
I agree. CoD died with UO, although COD2 was a success aswell, and the most fun imo due to KAR98, but COD2 had alot of bugs that would make you really frustrated when playing competetive. Cod4 ended the possibility of competetive gaming, it had an upswing for a while, but announcement of COD:WaW and MW2 killed that buzz quite quick.
