You aren't alone. I played CoD4 and, while enjoyable, I found it to be very overrated. I didn't care much for the multiplayer at all. The single player was good, but not fantastic. Overall, it's a good solid FPS. I haven't played CoD:WaW, but I don't think I'd like that one all that much either. I'll stick to Resistance, Killzone, and Halo.
