Your bones are pretty much done growing by the time you're 18 (and even without that there are many disputes about whether cow milk is any good, including its calcium, to the human body).
Too much calcium intake/absorbtion past that age makes bones harder and less flexible, hence easier to break.

Though I don't think it starts at 18 or anywhere close to that, it's something my mum is worrying about (and she's 60), not me.
