Quick update. I have just got the 3 RROD on my latest console and this was one I have already sent back once. Its ok if you switch it off. But its happened 3 times now so i'm not holding my breath. And just to clarify again, 2 of the consoles that failed I part exchanged to lower the price of a new one. Those consoles will be used as spares to fix other broken 360's. So no they wont be resold.
Also anyone here who thinks I am anti 360 is so so wrong. I have 40 games for 360, 15 for the wii and 7 for the PS3. I just wish they didnt have such a massive failure rate. If the current one I am having problems with does fail. then thats 7. No one should have to put up with such a poor product.
