PSP has no good games...what?

Well, this is the problem; what people assume a "port" is.

Rainbox Six Vegas - is due out next month on the PSP and PS3 simultaneously....is this a port?  The 360 and PC versions have been out since last year.  But both the Playstation versions were announced before the 360 version hit the shelves...so this game would be classed as a Universal release in my books (i.e. it's released on multiple platforms, maybe not at the same time, but they are in development together).

Prince of Persia Revelations - well this is a port.  It was developed from the original game Warrior Within and although there is a few changes to the game, it is in fact a port.

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops -  this is a game developed from a series of games, but it is a unique title on the PSP and includes unique gameplay and elements not found in any other version.  This is not a port.

I hope this make it easier to understand what a port is and what games aren't in fact ports.

Have a look through the PSP game library and especially the forthcoming games and you will see that there are very few ports and not that many coming out soon either.
