No system is perfect but I would not necessarily say Metacritic was biased. I will say about the rounding is I am not sure you can make a raw assessment of the numbers as I believe they weight some results higher than others.
Lets look at ODST.
Lots of reviews in with a bunch of whacky results which clearly are not representative of the games quality. Scores in the 40s for a computer game would imply total rubbish, scores in the 70s would imply okish, 80 ok, 85+ good, 90+ excelent.
ODST is a funny one some folks have taken to heart the expansion crictism and marked the game down for it. Unfair buy hey alls fair in love and war.
Also a number of the ODST scores will be subjective in such that a Metacritic guy has interpreted the wording and derived a score.
All in all the score will represent a solid game and will probably be representative.
Uncharted 2
I see nothing to actually complain about yet the scoring is still early doors and at least another 40+ reviews expected.
