So how about this community makes up its mind, are we going to use reviews to gauge the quality of a game or are we going to play it and make up our own mind? Reviews also say GTA IV is one of the best games of all time too, would you agree?

Making a statement like that is just stupid without even having played the game not to mention there are many many websites left that need to review it. Not saying it's going to be bad by any means but Killzone 2 was in the same situation early on because all the big websites reviewed it so early. Besides do you really want to go into a game with the expectation that it is one of the best games of all time, cause all your going to do is set yourself up for disappointment as you notice every little flaw.

Based my thoughts on the beta that I played, add to that the fact that the single-player will deliver. you cant tell by playing the mp that naughty dog has created a masterpiece.

Thank you megaman, that is all you needed to say. There was no need to say anything about it being the best game of all time.

In terms of sales I think it can do 4 million if Sony advertise it well. 5 million is a little out of reach I think but who knows, with the combination of the price drop, holiday sales and exceptional reviews this game could surprise us all with a high level of sustained sales throughout the holiday and beyond. The only thing I see that could be detrimental to its sales are the large volume of AAA releases coming out in early 2010 as well as MW2 but I feel like U2 is in a unique enough category for it to not be too affected by the other games.
