Killzone 2 on hard... is really hard

I swear I cannot get pass the past where you're entering radec's throne room thingie, and you have to fight wave after wave of hellghast... only to be rocket launched to death. :S I can't beat this part! I think they went overboard on the difficulty a bit, what do you guys think?
