Check the link Kasz. There's an artists rendition of it. The 4 wings refer to the plumage on it's legs. It's still a four limbed creature, just with all 4 being wings, as upposed to 2 or 0 of it's limbs.

Looked at the link.  Thought they meant they found different species.

 

Finding 5 of the same undiscovered animal... in one spot?  That makes it sound even more unlikely.

 

Either way the whole thing reminds me of a Gryphon.

I thought it was fairly common to find groupings of fossils, which would make sense for animals that travel in herds or family units. Maybe they were all together for flying lessons. Trying to figure out how their new appendages worked.

Groups yes.... 5 though seems like a lot to me.

Usually from what i've seen collections of fossils have usually been like, sites of struggle.

How would these 5 have been fossilized?  Killed by something natural while alive?
