It's very interesting, I wish the story showed the fossils too and not just an artists rendition. Well, I'll wait a couple weeks and then search them out when some good photos have been made and put on the interwebs.
Also this just goes to show that there is not such thing as intermediate fossils, only lots and lots of perfectly unique animals that sort of resemble two other animals, that god deemed unworthy to live.
