No it's Hyperion who ironically is Helios' father.

That explains a lot. since kratos ripped his son's head off - this guy wants revenge.. thus kratos kills him to defend himself and angers the titans to form a 3 way battle.

but he didn't kill him...he was defending himself from helios' attacks when kratos shot him with an arrow..
