only? never, but nintendo always have aimed for kids, snes had blood censored. because of this.
when nintendo with GC trashed all that i couldn't been more happy. RE 4 was awesome
and also it have a lot to do because both microsoft and sony are trying.
they are taking something nintendo did and trying to make it better, it require being able to market the system and get support for it.
sony have done it before with ps1-ps2 implementing such technlogies and making it success, their earlier failure was sony placing ps3 at 600$ price point.
it was direct failure from the start, but now they have 299$ system, their old launch price, if the relaunch stays successful they may be able to pull a ps1 and recover lost ground, i don't think winning because it's too late for that now, but taking second place back,a chance.
