Pineapple may have searched him for parts and discovered a single Doomsday Device Fragment. Or maybe he was fed up with him too.

I think he may have put the hex on me for voting for him. This might be part of like some Mafia special role that silences players.

I'm not sure though. I know nothing about why I was transformed.
