Most of them probably only read the title, which was made to grossly exagerate things and draw a crowd.  I blame the OP.

I actually stopped reading when he mentioned how PS1 games have nothing but graphics going for them (First paragraph, basically), and that the games have no originality. That's by far the most controversial opinion I ever read.

same here. You can clearly say hes nintendo fanboy and sony hater right in the first paragraph. Crash Bandicoot was 3D platformer and it was one of the most succesfull frachises in 5th gen. In fact, it was 2nd most succesfull platformer franchise

What you said doesn't matter at all. In both PS2 and PS3, Sony tried to push the DVD and BRD with it, FACT.  In every Sony console, graphics were advertised like hell on games, then failed to have any decent gameplay.

This gen, more than ever, graphics are by far the most pushed in advertisements, Wii games being the exception. Reznor himself said he's disappointed by the current console generation because gameplay in games didn't evolve. We see games like Resistance, Halo 3 and Gears of War, all of them with gameplay and controls far below to what PC has had for years, and didn't evolve on anything.

I just don't agree with what he said about the PS1, because there were many quality titles on there which specifically focused on gameplay. But I totally agree with what you said about the PS2 and the PS3. This gen is all about recycled gameplay with beefed up graphics.

 

However, I'm not surprised you just had to bump in the blue part.
