What new gamers would this attract? The price tag alone is enough to scare away most people. The lack of a touchscreen makes this a bad device for social networking or web browsing. The demographics for this device is incredibly niche. Sony needs a device that appeals to the many, not the few.
Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.
