Very good sales there for PS3.

However being back to basically 10k difference in US must be a indicator of what is to come.
Japan had Tales but you can't really use that just to justify it's boost, a lot of people want a ps3 regardless of that game. Next week though will be a true indicator of how well the PS3 will do longterm there.
Europe PS3 is doing very well and should continue to outsell 360 for sometime.
However the sales in Japan and Europe will naturally drop off due to the nature of the market. I would be surprised to see PS3 sell over 120k combined in those 2 regions next week with 360 maybe selling 80k combined due to a small bump with Halo.
Then it leaves US. It really depends on how well Halo does in boost terms. The PS3 has gone from 144k to 102k and now to 83k. Assuming the 20k is the average drop then next week i estimate would be 63k in US for PS3. Meaning for now at least this will mark the last week the PS3 outsells 360 in US.

So my rough estimate for next week would see PS3 at around 180k assuming that Japan and Europe drop by 50k combined and US drops by 20k. Meaning a drop of 70k in total. If it does better then that then i would be surprised.

So that would then lead me to guess for 360 around 5k in Japan, 70k in Europe due to small boost from Halo, giving rough estimate of 75k for the two combined, leaving just US. Which again is tough to predict. But it will get a bump from Halo question is how much of one. I'm guessing a small ish 20k bump. Bringing my guess to 90k for US. So total guess of 165k.

If that happens the 360 will be just 20k from the PS3 which means that the 360 will go on to re-take the lead in US. And at that point i honestly do believe that will be that for this generation.

Will be interesting to see what happens because if that does happen Microsoft will not feel pressure to price cut themselves.
