No problem there, either.  Games will still download, even if you turn the system off.  Your slow internet shouldn't be a problem.  And don't worry about XBLGold, either.  If your internet is slow, you won't want to play online, anyway.

It is slow, but what's worse is ping time, latency would ruin online...
