The advertisements had this much of an everlasting effect. Everyone knows that Halo is the bread and butter of the Xbox.

Yeah sure.  New 360 owners who purchase a brand new copy of Halo 3 because they saw a advertisement two years ago. 

When many people buy a 360, Halo is bound to be on their mind. I just mean it got very strong publicity. I'm not saying the advertisements are the only reason.

A lot of people that I know who weren't on the Halo Bandwagon from the orginal Xbox bought a 360 for Gears.
