actually, the biggest problem with sephiroth is that is HP attacks can blocked with Cloud's Braver xD I can block almost all Hell's gate attacks with a well timed braved, since the lag of hell's gate is huge. And black materia is dodgeable if you know the right timing for the 3 stages of charging ;)
Oh and heartless angel is a true blessing for me xD Catnip + Back to wall + Snooze if you loose (you'll lose a lot of bravery in one cast of heartless angel, since it's only counted as an attack when the animation begins, so i just sit there, let sephiroth cast hearless angel, and bam, 1000 bravery lost on sephy xD).
And since my EX build on cloud allows me to be almost everytime on EX, sephiroth's better run because of the defense crush effect of Cloud's Ex mode, and also a little tiny thing i like to call the Braver of Doom (Cloud's Braver gets the highest priority of all HP attacks in the game, when he's in EX) =D
