I disagree with you whole-heartedly. The media is simply doing their job- if they think the game is good, that's what they'll review it as. Basically what you're saying is they should give it worse scores so people don't get as excited about it so it's not seen as a failure?

We're the ones who hype it up, not the media. All they're doing is playing the game given to them and telling us what they think. We're the ones making Uncharted 2 GOTY! threads and Uncharted 2 will sell 15 million copies! threads. We were going to give the game unrealistic expectations no matter what because of how good Uncharted was.
