3) Size and varied environments.  Games may not be getting larger in time required to complete them but environments in Halo 3 and Resistance are massive compare to past generations.  Those massive environments are much more detailed and are no longer confined to small room levels in dungeons.  Warthogs, planes, hovercrafts, races, etc. are changing games from just FPS to FPS + Driving + Flying etc.  Hence the comments that each Halo 3 chapter is larger then the entire Halo 2 game.  Again, future generations will continue to grow on this theme.

As the environments get larger, the games are getting smaller. *cough* Halo 3 *cough*

What good is having a massive environment if you only have to go through a small part of it to complete your objective.

Am I supposed to stand around and look at the massive environment so I can complete a 5 hour game in 6 hours?

Show me how halo 3 is smaller, besides in campaign which is debatable (took me longer then 2), disc size theres no argument which is bigger. In terms of space your completely off, and the fact they are more detailed and yes they are larger

You may only have to go trough a certain part, but your missing out on the goodies

I sure hope your not refering to the halo hours, and yes thats a possiblity, go looking for goodies (skulls and terminals)

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.
