Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 are on the same machine. The two Gran Turismos are on different machines. To help sell my point, Sony had no problem releasing Killzone 2 and Resistance: Retribution 3 weeks apart. |
Although those games are different franchises even though they are in the same genre(fps). The GT games are the exact same franchise and in the same genre. Racing fans might be willing to splurge a bit to pick up GT PSP while they wait for GT5, but if they were released in the same time frame (a few weeks apart) I'm sure many would be willing to forgo one of the versions in favor of the other one. (in this case most likely forgoing GT PSP in favor of GT5 as that is the more hyped up title, IMO)
If I had a PS3 then I would definitely be willing to pass on GT PSP in favor of GT5. Though since I have a PSP and a 360, I'm passing on GT PSP for Forza 3.

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."
